Forgoing their traditional holiday gift exchange, members of the Jefferson Garden Club voted to contribute to the Greene County Christian Action Resource Center (ARC) food pantry at the club’s December meeting, a luncheon at the home of longtime member Marilyn Copeland.
Following the meeting, Garden Club publicity chair Dianne Piepel (right) presented a check for $180 to Dianne Blackmer of the ARC.
The Garden Club, founded in Jefferson in 1932, supports many local projects, most of them related to gardening and to beautification of our community, said Copeland
